Lower School News—“Some of you probably saw Miss Thurston’s children on the third floor selling newspapers. What you probably don’t know is why it was started. Some time ago the children wanted a canary that would lay eggs, so the paper was started to enable them to raise enough money to buy it. Then one of the children said she would give her canary to the class. The only drawback was that the bird wouldn’t lay eggs, so the paper continued with an egg-laying canary as it’s goal. Soon, Miss Thurston’s House will be in possession of two canaries.”
