1918–1919: THE CHILDREN’S UNIVERSITY SCHOOL

Poster text:
A Japanese educator, after watching the children and listening to Parkhurst’s plans, says, “This is like a university for children.” Parkhurst promptly renames The Normal School and College, The Children’s University School. Thanks to the generosity of Mrs. Crane, a whole town house at 10 West 72nd Street is acquired with separate space for a High School on West 73rd Street.
